In the wings of the butterfly, you will see two faces. One looks to the past and the beauty of the youthful years of Inman Park and the other one looks ahead to the second flowering of that beauty.
The Inman Park butterfly logo was created by 1970 resident, Ken Thompson. The restoration pioneers were laboring in an environment of neglect, apathy and suspicion, and they needed a unifying symbol of their restoration spirit.
The butterfly was the quintessential symbol of the transformation from ugliness to beauty and a fitting symbol for the continuing transformation of the Inman Park neighborhood.
